Cal wins a nailbiter over Texas 45–44: Instareaction and report card

We got all excited about the California Golden Bears scoring 21 unanswered points...

And then Texas Longhorns scored 21 unanswered points. Er, make that 20. A shanked point after was the difference as the Bears leave Austin with a win!

Let's not overlook the great perseverance by the Bears to keep fighting after falling behind and trailing by 10 in the second quarter. Just like last week, the defense came up big and showed that this is no longer an offense-only team.

Cal is now 3–0 on the season with an undefeated nonconference schedule and a quality road win. This is also Cal's first win over Texas ever. Thanks for giving us a heart attack, Texas. Not looking forward to doing this again next year!
