If first impressions were the only thing that mattered, Cal might be in the conversation for a national title. Fresh off scoring 73 points in their home opener, the 1-0 Cal Bears return to Strawberry Canyon to take on a much tougher opponent in San Diego State.
The Bears face a much stronger defense this week and find themselves up against an opponent that some consider favorites to win the Mountain West conference. The Aztecs handled their week one matchup against the University of San Diego, holding them without a touchdown in a 37-3 victory.
Cal will look to continue the offensive domination against lower ranked opponents and put this game away early. Saturday should be another gorgeous day to come out to Memorial stadium and hear the cannon roar as the 2015 season rolls on.
