The California Golden Bears are back! We're receiving preseason votes in media polls!
Well, one vote.
This vote came courtesy of Samuel McKeown of the Omaha World Herald, who gave Cal its lone top 25 vote. His ballot is full of some curious media poll wonks: He ranks Oregon 18, Arizona State 7, Stanford 10 and Utah 15. The man clearly loves himself some Pac-12 football though, he has seven Pac-12 teams ranked!
Cal is on pace to face five top 25 teams this season. Oregon is ranked 7th, USC 8th, UCLA 13th, Arizona State 15th, and Stanford 21st. Cal will play those teams in the second half season (five in six weeks). Utah (30th with 36 votes) and Texas (38th with three votes) are other opponents on Cal's schedule
Cal did not receive any votes in the Coaches Poll.
