Fant appears to be favoring Nebraska, which is the hometown team, but Cal has gotten into the mix lately and his officially on his list of favorite schools, which proves promising. A decision will be coming soon enough.

Fant enjoyed his visit to California, which included both Cal and UCLA, and judging by the schools on his list, academics are important in his recruitment.

If Cal could get Fant, it would be a welcome addition to a class that already has many d-lineman aboard. If the last few years have taught us anything, there is no such thing as too many edge-rushers.
