Cal basketball continues to try and build their 2016 recruiting class. Tyson Jolly has transferred over to next year and Oscar Frayer has been solidly committed for awhile. But with Ivan Rabb and Jaylen Brown potential one-and-dones, Cal will look for plenty of top talent to try and immediately replenish the coffers.
One possibility is recent Arizona decommit TJ Leaf.

Leaf reneged on his commitment on Arizona and there are varying reports as to why. One suggestion is that Leaf was frustrated when Sean Miller cut him from the U19 basketball team.
Leaf promptly came out with his top 8 shortly after his decommitment:

Leaf seems to have UCLA and Indiana in the front as of now, but there is plenty of time left for Cal to make up ground. Being out of El Cajon, UCLA is the hometown team, since they already have top 10 recruit Lonzo Ball on board, it bodes well for them. Even though UCLA currently doesn't have a roster spot open for the 2016-2017 season, Bryce Alford, the coaches son, has offered to walk on for his senior year to make room for him.
If Cal could land Leaf, they would be set in the front court in the long run.
