Treyjohn Butler decision today: Cal & Stanford favorites, ASU & Northwestern in mix

The consensus four-star recruit is making his college decision today, with Cal and Stanford being the favorites.

Four-star cornerback Treyjohn Butler out of Etiwanda is announcing his college choice Friday. The California Golden Bears are making secondary a priority this year as they try to reconstitute a disastrous pass defense.

The announcement will come at school on the eve of his birthday. Cal and Stanford have long been the favorites to land him, although ASU and Northwestern are both in the mix. Unfortunately, Stanford is the big favorite to land Butler, but he recently had a visit to Cal which went very well.

Butler is also friends with Cal commits and targets who have tweeted things that look promising.

If Cal could land Butler, they would have a plethora of talent in the defensive backfield and it would be their first four star commit of the cycle. (Other than the two safety decommits).
