The California Golden Bears are looking to fill up their recruiting class in a hurry this season, and they're already up to eight commits before the end of June. Contrast that to last season, when Cal only managed to land three commitments. The Bears are hitting the cycle early to try and ensure their recruiting class is solid, and they've lost no forward momentum since the end of last year.

Cal's latest commit comes from Bellflower, as defensive back Traveon Beck announced his commitment to Cal at St. John's Bosco High School. Beck picked Cal from a final five that included Arizona State, San Jose State, Washington State and Wisconsin. Beck becomes the third secondary recruit to commit to the Golden Bears, joining Shurod Thompson and Marquel Dismuke.
