Oh. My. God.

Jaylen Brown is a California Golden Bear. The words are almost so absurd when you look at them on paper. But they're true. They're real. He's coming.

Story from Evan Daniels, who broke the story first.

Jaylen Brown, the nation's top prospect, has committed to Cuonzo Martin and California.

"I have committed to the University of California," Brown said. Scout’s top ranked 2015 recruit picked the Bears over Kentucky, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Kansas, Michigan, North Carolina and UCLA.

I mean, look at this list. Kentucky! North Carolina! Michigan! UCLA! We beat them all for a potential NBA lottery pick who flew in for an unofficial visit all the way from Georgia! THAT HAPPENED.

Jaylen Brown is by some reports the nation's top prospect for the 2015 recruiting class and is by far the best prospect to ever to commit to the California Golden Bears... since Ivan Rabb committed a few weeks ago. Brown was at one point ranked the top national 2015 prospect, and is a consensus lottery pick, just like Rabb. This is almost certainly the best recruiting class in California Golden Bears history in EITHER SPORT.

With Brown and Rabb on board, Cal will almost certainly finish with a top five recruiting class and be one of the big favorites to win the Pac-12 along with Arizona and Utah.

I'm catatonic right now. We will have more details on Brown's commitment in the coming days, more scouting tape, and all that good stuff. You need to go buy your Cal season tickets and pack that damned Haas.

Go. Bears.
