We are still on the list.

So Jaylen Brown has narrowed his list from eight to five. Off the list goes UCLA, Georgia and Georgia Tech. Cal stays. More from Evan Daniels at Scout.

Although Brown wasn't expected to do any more in-home visits, sources told Scout that he conducted multiple in-home visits this week. Kansas was out of visit days and did not meet with him. At this point, a decision date hasn't been set.

Let's look at each of the candidates. Brown took official visits to all of these schools but Cal, which he has visited unofficially a few times.

California Golden Bears: Brown really seems to be interested in academics. He has taken multiple unofficial visits to Cal and is very close with Ivan Rabb. Again, I still have to say that the Bears are a dark horse in this race. But they are definitely in this.

Michigan Wolverines: They might be the favorites right now. They have that prestigious public school cachet. He has family up there. Also, if you believe in shoe stuff, Michigan is an Adidas school at the moment, and there have been rumors that Brown might factor that into the decision.

Kansas Jayhawks: Kansas is the other Adidas school on this list. If Brown wants to go to a blueblood, the Jayhawks are a potential candidate for sure.

Kentucky Wildcats: It's Calipari. Doesn't he always land top ten recruits every year? Never count out UK, especially if they're still in the chase at this juncture.

North Carolina Tar Heels: They are the closest school to Brown's Georgia home now that he's eliminated Georgia and Georgia Tech.
