Tyrone Wallace to hold press conference Thursday, likely on NBA draft status

This is your open thread until the decision

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

Tyrone Wallace will likely be announcing his decision to stay or go for the NBA Draft tomorrow afternoon. He will be addressing the media  with head coach Cuonzo Martin on Thursday at Haas Pavilion at approximately 12:30 p.m. (PT), where he will make his decision to return for his final year of eligibility or get set for the next level.

Wallace is currently projected as an early second round pick for the 2015 NBA Draft, so there is some merit in Wallace cashing out now and trying his hand at the draft. It's unclear how much his status will improve with another season under his belt, although there are definite things he can work on to upgrade his stock, particularly with regards to his free throw shooting and distribution.

If Wallace returns though, Cal will be a pretty monstrous Pac-12 squad. The Bears will have the best wing talent in the conference by far, and should be improved defensively when they add Stephen Domingo, Tyson Jolly, Ivan Rabb, and (still waiting on LOI) Davon Dillard to the mix. With the possible addition of Jaylen Brown, Cal could have one of the best perimeter defenses in the country, with Wallace also running point on the other end. Wallace's departure would mean Cal would have to pretty much start Sam Singer, which isn't the worst thing in the world.

This is your open thread. Discuss whether you think Wallace will stay or go!
