The commitments are pouring in fast and heavy this weekend, apparently -- it was Max Gilliam on Friday, Tyson Jolly this morning, and now, the latest running back to the Bear Raid backfield: Derrick Clark, from Mission Bay High School in San Diego.
I would like to announce that I have verbally committed to play ball at the University of California, Berkeley! #gogoldenbears

Our newest Bear is still relatively light on the offer count and the hype, with Cal and Navy being the only bigger schools to show interest, and no rankings on any of the recruiting sites, save for a three-star number from Scout. (Not to worry, though. These things do change greatly over the course of the summer camp circuit, and the staff has proven to be capable of identifying diamonds in the rough before anyone else -- Malik Psalms being one.)
It appears that Clark also gets it done in the classroom, too:
Clark has a 3.7 GPA. #Cal #CalFootball
