Let's piece together another hectic week regarding the three hottest targets in Cal hoops recruiting recent memory, shall we?

Well, this is always a good sign.
We've been down this road with Oakland (Ca.) Bishop O'Dowd forward Ivan Rabb for a few weeks, but it's never been officially confirmed when exactly he would decide between Cal and Arizona. Well, Signing Day is looming, so you have to figure a decision will come sooner rather than later.

Ivan Rabb to @usabasketball: "People are questioning why I would go to Cal, but you have to see past that and see the potential on the team.

Ivan Rabb to @usabasketball : "I see how much better they got from last year to this year. I just see the energy and they're hungry."

Reading the tea leaves, everything points toward Rabb liking the Bears over the Wildcats. Either this or it's one of the biggest misdirection campaigns orchestrated by a boy wonder since Austerlitz.
While we don't have a decision day for Rabb, Fort Wayne (In.) Homestead center Caleb Swanigan has now set it in stone. He will be committing tomorrow.

There have been a lot of rumors. Michigan State is the favorite. Michigan State has been eliminated. It's down to Cal or Purdue. Cal is battling with a bunch of blue bloods. Yet somehow, Cal seems to always be in the mix at every juncture. The Bears are very much in the mix to be picked based on the surprising late momentum.
Then there's Jaylen Brown, and I have NO idea what he's going to do.

Cal is the first school mentioned in his top eight and the last jersey he wears in his little video, so if you want to go full Illuminati, there's your out. Find some good robes and believe that Cal can somehow land THREE of the ten best prospects in the land in Cuonzo Martin's first season. That this is even ON the table defies description.
Just keep on waiting. One decision is tomorrow. One decision should be coming soon. And another might just surprise you in your sleep. Drink your tea and warm milk or whatever gets you to bed, because I know Bear Territory is probably losing a bit of sleep over these decisions.
