Cal basketball recruiting: Tyson Jolly in-home with Cuonzo Martin, visits Berkeley in April

GO BEARS!

Kelley L Cox-USA TODAY Sports

Oklahoma City (Ok.) Putnam City West shooting guard Tyson Jolly received a Cal offer recently and appears to still be a big target for Cuonzo Martin at this point in the process. Evan Daniels reports that Martin made the trip out to Oklahoma to see Martin in person and talk about how he fits in the overall recruiting picture.

Jolly has offers from Creighton, Oklahoma State, TCU, SMU, Tulsa and UTEP. Jolly is also interested in tripping up to Gonzaga with Victor Dukes as well.

Obviously Ivan Rabb and Caleb Swanigan are the main targets and we already have a wing commitment in Davon Dillard, but the Bears do need to start thinking about stocking up for the future when our wing rotation starts moving toward the latter half of their Cal careers.

It's easy to see why Jolly is well-liked by Martin. He has a solid defensive frame that could prove useful for guarding the passing lanes, he has pretty impressive wingspan, he can roam and he can drive to the basket.

Jolly has now confirmed a visit to Berkeley in April. He will visit Gonzaga the week after. A decision is likely to come around that time.
