One of the biggest local targets on the board for the California Golden Bears coaching staff is four star Oakland (Ca.) Bishop O'Dowd linebacker Camilo Eifler. Cal was one of the first to offer Eifler, and the Bears would love to land him as a top priority defender.

Eifler already has a bunch of early offers: Cal, Colorado, Duke, Louisville, Michigan, Northwestern, Oregon State, UCLA, Utah, Washington and Washington State. Washington. This could be one of those huge battles with Jim Harbaugh shaping up--Michigan is already approaching hot and heavy, and you can imagine Harbaugh is going to be utilizing all his California connections to get top recruits out of the West Coast and into Ann Arbor. And you can imagine if all the usual suspects start offering, Cal will have a huge amount of competition here.
You can take a look at his video reel.
Eifler is a physically impressive talent. He has quick instinct off the snap and gets to the ball-carrier. He can line up as an outside rush back, he can play the middle and roam the interior passing lanes. He can chase down players in the open field. He can play pass coverage. He is solid all-around and would be a huge get for Cal to bolster a defense in need of playmakers.
