Second Cal Football spring practice of 2015

Monday brought us transferring captains and quarterbacks-turned-safeties. What madness does Coach Dykes have in store for us today?

Is that a quarterback or a safety? (The position, not the defensive score...)

With Monday's official news that DE Brennan Scarlett is leaving the California Golden Bears and based on our struggles in 2013 and 2014 , one of the keys for spring football will be to keep an eye on is the emergence of a pass rusher. With a 4-3 defense, that traditionally comes from the defensive line, but don't count out talented sophomore LB Devante Downs who showed some promise last season.

Another thing to look out for is the development of QB/S Luke Rubenzer. Rumor has it he's going to practice today as both center and running back for the same snap. It sounds crazy, but if it works, it'll be AMAZING.

Practice is listed as starting at 3:15 or 3:30 p.m.; on Monday it started at 4. So, it's coming some time soon? Check out the following Twitter list for news from today's practice and share any cool findings in the comments below!
