Rise and shine Golden Bears for one of the strangest rituals of college football fandom: Waiting for the random updates of fax machines all over the country.

Cal should have somewhere around two dozen new commits by the end of today's proceedings.

National Signing Day decisions (full list here from yesterday's preview, individual previews below):

• Keith Washington (The Cal commit will end up picking Cal or Michigan around 5:30 am Pacific, 8 am Eastern)
• Semisi Uluave (Cal, Oregon, Texas Tech and UCLA are the final four)
• Jaylinn Hawkins (Cal is in a jumble with Arizona State, Boise State, Oregon, Utah, Washington. Expect ASU)
• Nick Buchanan (Cal decommit, probably picking Florida)
• Luc Bequette (Our Cal commit is likely to flip to Florida)
• Quenton Meeks (Cal, Stanford and Vanderbilt are the final three, with the Trees leading. Decision time is 2 p.m. Pacific)
• Kyahva Tezino (Washington State decommit, now has Cal, Boise State, Kansas, San Diego State in final four)

Hopefully we can get one more surprise to negate the one bit of bad news likely to head our way today. But in the end, the most important thing is that we're getting a bunch of new Bears to sign up to be part of the long, strange Cal journey. We all can't wait to meet all of them in the next few hours.
