Cal football recruiting: New offers, and who could commit next?

Bears!

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

The California Golden Bears landed their first two commitments in the 2015 recruiting class this week, and it's apparently the earliest Cal has landed two commits in quarterback Armani Rogers and safety Marquel Dismuke. That's a pretty good sign for the Bears.

Who could come next? It might be a local prospect in Moraga (Ca.) Campolindo offensive tackle Sterling Strother, who enjoyed his Junior Day visit immensely.

Houston (Tx.) Langham Creek wide receiver Quartney Davis is a 6’2, 196 pound receiver and also have offers from Houston and Kansas. Cal is the first major offer.

Murrieta (Ca.) Vista Murrieta athlete Kyle Williams holds offers from Arizona State, Boise State, Colorado, Washington and Washington State.

Elk Grove (Calif.) Franklin cornerback and athlete Lamar Jackson picked up recent offers from Washington State, UCLA and Michigan, putting themselves right along with Boise State, Cal, Colorado and Utah. More from Scout.

"I’m leaning towards playing defense in college," said Jackson.

Jackson has been to Cal unofficially, and was at the Stanford-Cal game in Berkeley. He’ll visit UCLA in the coming weeks.

Jackson doesn’t anticipate an early decision.

"I’m planning on taking some visits and enjoying this recruitment," said Jackson.

Bastrop (LA) WR Isaiah Graham picked up an offer and already has plenty more from schools like SMU, TCU, Arkansas, Miami (Fl.), Tennessee and Texas Tech.
