Cal safety Avery Sebastian has made his decision to transfer to Notre Dame next season. Time to go get those wins against USC and Stanford!
I have officially committed to the University of Notre Dame! Extremely blessed & excited to be apart of the Notre Dame family! GO IRISH

Avery has one year of eligibility left, but Cal did not offer the grad program of his choice, so it was in his best interest to find a program that did. Sebastian has earned his degree from Cal as well in sociology.
Sebastian saw time on the field during all of his four seasons at Cal. His most productive year was 2012, when he racked up 57 tackles. The back end of his career was plagued with injury, including an Achilles tear that ended his 2013 campaign the first week of the year, but he returned in 2014 and put up 21 tackles, a forced fumble and an interception.
Best of luck Avery! GO BEARS!
