Manvel (Tx.) dual-threat quarterback and athlete D'Eriq King was committed to the TCU Horned Frogs before taking a trip up to Berkeley this past weekend, but now he's decided to reopen his recruitment.

Aside from Cal, King has offers from Baylor, Clemson, Kansas State, Louisville, Michigan State, Rutgers, Texas Tech and UCLA. King is a top 300 composite recruit, a top 20 athlete, and a top 50 Texas recruit. However, there are also rumors that King might be interested in Tom Hermann and Houston as well.
At 5'10 and 170 pounds, it's unclear where King translates at the next level. King is really good as a high school quarterback, but he might not be quite tall enough to be effective in college. As an athlete though, he could play in multiple positions, like defensive back, wide receiver, spread running back, there are multiple roles for King depending on where he ends up.
What do you think of King and his tape?
