Cal has lost another commitment in the span of the week. After a recent visit to Tempe this weekend, San Francisco junior college center A.J. McCollum has switched from the Golden Bears to the Arizona State Sun Devils.

In terms of depth issues, it's not a huge concern, as the Bears have done their best to stack up the O-line in this class. Cal is now down to five offensive line commits with Jake Curhan, Daniel Juarez, Paco Perez, Dwayne Wallace and Gentle Williams. UCLA is still pursuing Perez very heavily so don't expect the recruiting buzz on the offensive line to be complete quite yet.
Markus Wright reopened his recruitment earlier this week, so Cal lost two commits while gaining two more in Wallace and Marloshawn Franklin, giving us a net gain of zero so far this week.
Recruiting dead period is underway for the next month, so I wouldn't expect many more recruiting stories for the next few weeks.
