Cal and Oregon State will be meeting each other in Memorial Stadium in Berkeley under the lights. The Bears and the Beavers are set to kickoff at 7:30 PM Pacific on Pac-12 Networks.
This is the first night game for Cal at home since...the last time Cal played Oregon State in 2013! Two years.
Oregon State is breaking in a lot of new talent under Gary Andersen. The Beavers started with a solid victory against Weber State, but couldn't generate much offense after their first drive in the Big House against Michigan, falling 35-7. Oregon State rebounded with a solid win against San Jose State, and played well with Stanford for a half before ultimately getting run off the field.
But the Beavers look to be in danger of a 0-9 season in-conference. They've lost to Colorado at home, got blown out by a middling Arizona, and fought hard with Washington State and Utah but ultimately came up many scores short.
This is pretty much a must-win for the Bears. Oregon State is not very good this season and a loss here would be a catastrophic setback, particularly the week before Big Game.
