Cal currently 5.5 point underdogs to Oregon, will kickoff at 7:30 PM PT on ESPN2

Can Cal end another streak of infamy?

Cary Edmondson-USA TODAY Sports

The Golden Bears turn the page to November and finish up the roughest part of their schedule with a battle against their long-time nemesis, the Oregon Ducks. Cal opened as 7.5 point underdogs against Oregon with the line settling at 5.5; the Bears haven't been favored to beat the Ducks since 2009.

Oregon rose to national prominence about the very moment Cal fell from it, and 42-3 was very much the turning point for both programs (in either the right or the wrong way). It's been seven years since Cal has beaten Oregon, and aside from two games, it has come down to the fact that our offense has generally been inept and their offense has been the opposite.

Cal's defense shut Oregon down in 2010 and our offense managed to keep up with the Ducks in 2014, but the other side of the ball didn't end up doing enough to secure an upset. This is the most vulnerable Oregon has looked in awhile, but can Cal find the fortitude to win in Autzen for only the second time since 1988?

Cal-Oregon has also been announced as a 7:30 PM Pacific kickoff on ESPN2.
