Cal vs. WSU injury report: Griffin Piatt will play. Daniel Lasco & DeVante Wilson should play

Quick injury updates.

Sonny Dykes post-practice video lets us know the following on the injury front.

  • Daniel Lasco should play after practicing fully this week. The only thing that would keep him out is if Lasco did not feel good on Friday or before the game.
  • Cal safety Griffin Piatt should return to action. Do not expect him to dislodge Damariay Drew or Stefan McClure from their starting positions, but if the offense ramps up he could be rotated in.
  • Cal defensive end DeVante Wilson is similar to Lasco--it will all depend how he feels.
  • Cal wide receiver Matt Rockett is back and will probably be used as a backup wideout.
  • Cal wide receiver Jack Austin will be out awhile, probably for the UCLA game. Cal linebacker Aisea Tongilava will be out longer and is a potential redshirt candidate.
  • Cal left tackle Brian Farley will dress and have an opportunity to play, but I'd guess it will be Aaron Cochran who will get the start on Saturday protecting Jared Goff's blind side.
