Cal Men's Water Polo (15-3)
In their 2nd true test of the season (the earlier NorCal Tournament where the Bears placed 4th was the other one), the Golden Bears finally got another big win. Sure, it was only the 3rd place match in the SoCal Tournament, but it was still a big deal for the Bears to take out the 2nd seed of the tournament in Stanford.
Cal 14, Stanford 11
5 early goals had the Bears win this match wire to wire.
With the win, the Bears are now ranked 3rd in the country while Stanford are 4th.
Cal 8, UCLA 13
Bears kept things close in the 1st quarter but a 5 goal 2nd quarter by UCLA allowed them to pull away.
Cal 11, Pacific 10 (2 OT)
Bears need OT again to defeat UOP for the 2nd time this season.
Cal 17, LMU 7
Bears had an easy time to open the tournament, beating LMU easily.

Bears easily won their 7th straight Alister MacKenzi Invitational. All 5 Golden Bears finished in the top 20.
Cal Women's Soccer (9-4-0, 3-2-0)
Make that 4 straight wins for the Bears after they earned a 1-0 victory over No.19 Santa Clara on Thursday night. Samantha Witteman provided the winning goal in the 61st minute and it was fairly magical.

Emily Boyd posted her 2nd consecutive clean sheet and 8th on the year.
Bears will host Utah on Sunday at 11 AM. Match will be on the Pac-12 Networks.
Cal Men's Soccer (5-3-2, 0-1-2)
Against a pair of top 20 teams in Oregon State and Washington, the Bears earned consecutive home draws last week. It was a 2-2 match against Oregon State, follow by a scoreless draw against Washington.
Bears will look to earn 3 points against the conference cellar dweller in San Diego State and then a weaker UCLA team.

Cal Field Hockey (9-4, 4-0 in American East)
It's Cal vs. Stanford Part 2 on Sunday. Can the Bears pull off another OT upset win?
Bears remain perfect in conference play last weekend with a 2-0 win over UMass-Lowell and 1-0 win over Pacific. Cal goalie Kori Griswold is again named the conference Defensive Player of the Week for her two shutouts.

Cal Volleyball (6-11, 0-6 in Pac-12)
Not only are the Bears still winless in the Pac, they are winless game-wise for awhile.
Bears got swept in straight sets by No.25 Oregon and an unranked Oregon State. Maddy Kerr did move up the school record in digs, however. She is now 10th in school record for digs with 1145.

Cal Swimming
Both Cal Men and Women Swimming have started their dual season by posting a big win.
Bears took care of the Utes yesterday via a 165-128 score. Junior Ryan Murphy and freshman Andrew Seliskar are both dual event winners.
After easily winning at Washington State last week to open the year, Cal women also won at home yesterday. The women won 174-120 against the Utes.
