Last week was as soul-crushing a defeat ever there was for any California Golden Bear football fan to endure. Admit it: when Arizona's Hail Mary pass landed in the arms of Austin Hill for the game-winning touchdown that beat our Bears, your mind soon wandered in search of other soul-crushing defeats that could compare. Perhaps thoughts of the 1990 Big Game, the 1993 collapse at Memorial against Washington, the 1996 Curse of the Palouse game, or the 2007 Oregon State game entered your mind. Maybe there were others. But last week's Arizona game has one important thing in common with all of those.
IT IS OVER.
As painful as it was, we move on. And what better way to move on than with a home game against a Colorado Buffaloes team that Cal (2-1, 0-1 Pac-12) is capable of beating. A win today over Colorado (2-2, 0-1 Pac-12) would give the Bears their first conference victory since October 13, 2012 and snap a horrid 15-game conference losing streak.
This is your pregame thread for today's game. Warm up for the game by talking about it here. Watch for the first quarter thread as kickoff time draws near.
Victory can be ours today. We can do this!
GO BEARS!
