Cal 2015 football schedule released, and it could be the toughest in the country

The nice thing about Cal football schedules is that there's rarely a dull opponent. What with the competitive Pac-12 North, the always constant scheduling of UCLA and USC, a post-Big Game regular hangover contest, and usually a marquee non-conference opponent on the schedule, there's rarely a dull moment.

The downside? It usually ends up being one of the hardest schedules in the country. Cal should be very experienced by 2015, and they'll need every bit of it to escape this schedule unscathed

Cal starts the season with FCS madness and a really great band that I hope travels to Berkeley in Grambling State. Then comes feisty San Diego State the week after, which is followed by a road trip to Austin and our long-awaited matchup with Texas.

Then, the gauntlet. Cal goes to Seattle the week after a physical matchup with Charlie Strong's boys and has to tango with the Huskies, then comes home to Berkeley to play Washington State. After that Cal will hit up Utah, enjoy a much-needed bye week, and get ready for one of the toughest six game stretches imaginable.

at UCLA on a Thursday night: We win in the Rose Bowl approximately never. Here's hoping Thursday traffic lessens the crowd.

Home for USC: It's Halloween, so it's gonna be festive! Ramp up the offense for Sark and crew!

at Oregon: Hey, you know what's fun? Facing the two most talented teams in the conference and then travelling up to Autzen a week later.

Oregon State: Wonderful, a game against Mike Riley is our soft spot in the second half of the season.

at Stanfurd: WIN THIS ONE.

Arizona State: At least we're at home. It's the least the conference can do for this post-Big Game nonsense.

The two year flip also puts Arizona State and Utah on our schedule as opposed to the slightly milder Arizona/Colorado combo. This I do not enjoy.

Here is the schedule with dates. Full Pac-12 schedule can be found at Pac-12.com or below via Pacific Takes.
