Cal football recruiting: Brady White down to Cal & ASU?

Cal's 2015 quarterback recruiting is coming down to the wire!

As we've harped on for months, the 2015 California quarterback recruiting class is one of the richest in the country. Already four of the top prospects have committed to Pac-12 schools.

Ricky Town - committed to USC
Josh Rosen - committed to UCLA
Jake Browning - committed to Washington
Tyler Hilinski - committed to Washington State

All that's left on the board is Newhall (Ca.) Hart QB Brady White, who clearly has Cal high up on his board. But Arizona State has made a late push, and they got another visit, this one unofficial after a visit to Arizona.

Irwin also visited this weekend. This has to bode well for the Sun Devils, who have been starting to make their mark on the recruiting trail with Todd Graham the past two seasons. Unless a Stanfurd offer appears (which would immediately flip White favorably to the Farm), it's looking like it'll be either Cal or ASU as your two main options.

It would be a huge blow for Cal to strike out on all these signal-callers. While recruiting is an inexact science, I'd put some good odds that a few of these quarterbacks are going to be Pac-12 fixtures. The Bears picked a bad season to bottom out, and it could cost them cachet in a rather rich season for California prospects.

The next option for Dykes behind White is probably Pleasanton (Ca.) Foothill QB Kyle Kearns. Keep an eye on an immediate offer to Kearns if White decides to commit elsewhere.
