The Bruins edged the Bears 3-2. UCLA's Ally Carda was 7 for 12 in the 3 game series.

Bears' record has now dropped to 23-23 with a 4-12 record in the Pac-12.

After a postponement of the Friday game due to rain, the Bears and the visiting Bruins played 2 on Saturday with Bruins winning 11-1 (5) and 9-7 (hey at least the Bears made it close in the second game). The Golden Bears will try to salvage the rubber game of this series on Sunday, with the game being broadcasted on the Pac-12 Networks.

I don't think FiatLux would like this (the pink uniform again).

Bears are trying to continue their 20 something straight year streak of making it to the postseason, but that would obviously require a better than 0.500 record. Fortunately, UCLA is by far the best opponents left for the Bears as Cal ends the season with two 3 game series against the mediocre Utah and Washington squads.

Anyhow, it sure would be nice for the Bears to get a win over a top 5 ranked team, if nothing else but for their psyche going forward.

GO BEARS!
