Cal (5-10, 3-5 MPSF) at No. 17 Stanford (12-3, 6-2 MPSF)

When: 4 pm PT

TV: Pac-12 Networks

Maloney Field – Stanford, Calif.

Series Record: Stanford leads, 26-6

Coming off a big 7-6 road win at Colorado on Sunday, the Bears will play their last regular season game of the season and hope that it is not the last game of the season. With only the top 6 team making it to the MPSF tournament, the Bears would have needed to upset Stanfurd on Thursday AND have San Diego State lose to Fresno State to grab that final spot in the MPSF tournament. Wednesday night update: San Diego State easily defeated Fresno State 17-4 on Wednesday night, so this game will be the finale for the Bears.

For 'Furd, they are playing for a bye in the MPSF tournament.

For the Bears, the future is bright with a pair of true freshmen responsible for the recent Cal turn around, after a 6 game losing streak.

True freshman Bella Huther leads the team in goals with 42 and points with 44. Since making the change at goalie, true freshman Katie Gutierrez has guided the Bears to three wins and a goals-against average of 9.63 in starting the past five games.

Gutierrez took over the goalie duty from sophomore Helen Hansen only 5 games ago and the Bears have gone 3-2.

Can the Bears end their season on a high note and get this rivalry win?
