After a quiet recruiting season so far, Cal has landed two commitments this weekend. First it was wide receiver Austin Aaron on Saturday, and now Chino Hills (Ca.) Ayala defensive back Malik Psalms made his commitment on Easter Sunday (how apropos!).

Psalms has flown under the radar at this point, but Cal was quick to offer him a few weeks ago thanks to the efforts of Rob Likens. Psalms tripped up to Cal this past weekend and made a quick commitment before the weekend was up.
Despite the offer from Likens, Cal wants Psalms at defensive back, although it's not quite clear whether they want him at cornerback or safety at this point. He's very tall for a corner (where he plays the most in high school), standing at 6'2 and weighing in at around 175 pounds, but it's likely Cal is considering him as a potential safety as well. Psalms also had offers from San Jose State and San Diego State.

Welcome to Cal, Malik!
