After a 15-5 setback on Friday, the Bears bounced back with a 9-1 (6 innings) win on Saturday behind a grand slam hit by Vanessa Alvarez. Due to the mercy rule, Cheyenne Cordes' homer in the bottom of the 6th was a walk-off. Freshman Stephanie Trzcinski threw a complete game, allowing just 4 hits and 2 walks.
Bears jumped on Arizona starter Kenzie Fowler who only recorded one out before being replaced by Estela Pinon in the circle.
