So I know some fans out there are all excited about that whole March Madness madness. I mean, that's cool and all, but I'm so over that scene. March Madness used to be cool, but now it's just so mainstream, y'know?
Instead, our beloved Golden Bears (19–13, 9–9 Pac-12) will be playing in the NIT. Our first round opponent is the Utah Valley Wolverines (20–11, 13–3 WAC). It's quite possible that they are the best there is at what they do; but what they do best isn't very nice.
Unfortunately, the Bears will be playing without a key player: double-double machine Richard Solomon.
NOT GOOD RT @JeffFaraudo Cal senior F Richard Solomon ruled out of tonight's NIT game with concussion.

You can learn about the Wolverines (their past isn't as mysterious as the X-Man's) with Scott Chong's game preview. Go Bears!
