Cal has currently three big targets on their board when it comes to quarterbacks, and the dominoes might soon start falling as to who they end up securing as their commitment.
Josh Rosen, Bellflower (Ca.) St. John Bosco quarterback
Decision date is just over a week away for Rosen. He's set to announce on March 20th and has set a final four that includes Cal, Michigan, UCLA and Stanfurd (who hasn't offered).
"My finalists are Cal, Michigan, UCLA and maybe Stanford," Rosen told 247Sports national expert Ryan Bartow. "UCLA and Cal hit me up every week, Michigan too. I'm announcing on Mar. 20, I don't know all of the logistics. I plan on having a press conference/ceremony at the school with teammates and family. I know it's going to be a fun day.
I have to imagine that Cal is a bit behind here, and it's between either UCLA or Stanfurd. Yeah, the Cardinal haven't offered, but why else is Rosen putting them in his final four? He must really be working for a late offer to try and convince the coaching staff that he deserves to be on this team.
We've talked about Rosen plenty on this site, so there's no need to rehash what a great quarterback he is. It would be an amazing coup if Cal were to land him, but there are plenty of other worthy candidates out there.
Brady White, Newhall (Ca.) Hart quarterback
While Rosen decides, White is piling up the offers. After getting the Penn State look, two recently came from Louisville and Arizona State.

Also, could there be some Stanfurd subterfuge in the work? White and his teammate wide receiver Trent Irwin have expressed interest at wanting to play college football together at the next level, and this week the Cardinal extended an offer to Irwin (not White as of yet). Irwin does seem pretty warm to the offer as of now.

Irwin has also been offered by Arizona State and Louisville too, but the Cardinal offer does seem a bit more worrying in trying to pull him away from Cal. If White gets the Furd offer, anything could go here.
Jake Browning, Folsom (Ca.) quarterback
Browning figures to be next in line if Cal can secure neither Rosen nor White. He's also looking at making an early decision sometime in the next month.

Browning also recently visited Washington. The Huskies are definitely looking at Browning to be their quarterback. Boise, Colorado, Utah, Washington and WSU have all offered Browning along with Cal.

But Tuscaloosa just came calling as did Austin. What could this mean for Browning's recruitment?

Cal also recently offered one of Browning's lineman, one Cody Creason.
If Cal can land none of these three quarterbacks, then option four probably becomes Upland (Ca.) quarterback Tyler Hilinski, who is still flying under the radar. The situation is still fluid and plenty can change as Cal looks for their next great quarterback prospect.
