With the painful losses Cal experienced at the cornerback position the past two seasons with regards to early entrees and other talented players going down to injury, the Bears need to get some cornerbacks to go along with their safeties.
Darius White will hopefully provide some impact there. White is a junior college cornerback at Itawamba who also had offers from schools like Kansas State. One thing that distinguishes White from most Cal cornerbacks is his height and physicality. At 6'1 and 185 pounds, White projects to be the tallest corner Cal has had in quite some time and could give the Bears the ability to get a little bit more aggressive in covering wide receivers.
