Must Reads
Cal needs safeties in a hurry, and they hope Quentin Tartabull will be part of the solution. Tartabull was one of this team's summer commitments and figures to be a key defensive contributor almost off the bat because of the lack of depth at safety.
Tartabull hails from Alemany (Ca.) Mission Hills, measuring 5'11 and 190 pounds. Tartabull played a lot of linebacker in high school and is known as a hard hitter, so he should be able to translate well to the safety spot where the Bears are in need of some hard hitters.
Here are his junior highlights. Tartabull didn't play much of his senior season due to injury.
Here are the rankings for Tartabull.
- ESPN: Three stars, 57th best safety & 67th best California recruit
- 247 Sports: Three stars, 62nd best safety & 70th best California recruit
- Scout: Three stars, 45th best safety
