Erik Brown officially sent in his letter of intent on National Signing Day 2014. Brown hails from Fontana (Ca.) Summit High. Measuring at 6'0 and 170 pounds, Brown figures to be in the line of a growing tradition of excellent Cal wide receivers.

He has excellent quickness, is a savvy route runner, and just finds a way to attack coverage. Cal is pretty deep at receiver with Bryce Treggs, Chris Harper, Kenny Lawler, Darius Powe and company, but Brown will ensure depth will be healthy at one of the few positions where Cal enjoys it.

Brown reopened his recruitment after originally committing to Washington at The Opening. He eventually chose Cal and looks like an excellent prospect for success in the Bear Raid offense. Brown also had offers from schools like UCLA, Washington State, Oregon State, Arizona, Arizona State. Notre Dame, Nebraska and Boise State.

Here are his video highlights from his senior season.
