Cal Rugby overcame poor first half to beat UCLA 32-10 on Pac-12 Networks debut

The TV cameras at Wittier this afternoon may add 10 pounds to the players, but the Cal ruggers are legitimately huge. Cal Rugby makes their Pac-12 Networks debut against the improving UCLA side today. Since this is the inaugural rugby broadcast on the channel, expect plenty of explanations of what rugby is all about. GO BEARS!

Cal Rugby vs. UCLA

When: 3 PM PT

TV: Pac-12 Networks

Cal Rugby have been on the TV a few times, but mostly when they are playing Rugby 7s. This is the Pac-12 Networks debut of Cal Rugby as they host the improving UCLA squad who are actively trying to be a rugby powerhouse unlike certain junior school also in the Bay (and I'm not talking about St. Mary's who are also decent in rugby).

Leading up to this TV debut, Jack Clark appeared on the Inside the Locker Room radio show earlier this week.

Cal captain Seamus Kelly is also featured in this week's Inside the Lair.

A familiar face (Colin Hawley) will be on the sideline to be the color analyst:

Look for the Bears to play their best for the TV audience.

GO BEARS!
