While there is still some debate among the fanbase as to whether it was the right move to let Ron Gould go last year, Pierre Ingram is making his best case on the recruiting trail. Ingram probably landed the best one-two running back punch in the Pac-12 this season, and for that he earned some high accolades today.

We'll debate Ingram's coaching later this offseason, but it's safe to say he's done a good job recruiting. He secured the commitment of Khalfani Muhammad in his transition and has two solid players with differing traits in Vic Enwere and Tre Watson. The running game was not good last year, but we'll get a better sense this season as to whether Ingram can replicate the Louisana Tech balanced attack in the Bear Raid offense.
Moving onto the early offers.
Cal offensive linemen appear to be the early flavor of the year for the 2015 recruiting class. Zach Yenser isn't messing around. The Bears O-line struggled with performance and injury all of last year.
Ventura (Ca.) St. Bonaventure offensive tackle Nick Capella received his first offer from the Bears. It seems Capella is quite familiar with Berkeley based on what Ryan Gorcey might be reporting behind the paywall.
#Cal is offer #1 for 2015 Stud OL Nick Capella (St.Bonaventure HS, CA) @VarsityPreps

Capella is receiving a lot of attention from major schools. He has visited Alabama and Vanderbilt and Washington State, UCLA and Arizona State have also been monitoring.
Anaheim (Ca.) Servite offensive tackle Clayton Johnson and Redlands (Ca.) East Valley offensive tackle Joseph Price.

Johnson already has an offer from San Diego State. This is Price's first offer.
Concord (Ca.) De La Salle offensive guard Drew Sullivan got his second offer from Cal.
#Cal offer out to bulldozer De La Salle offensive lineman Drew Sullivan (@dsully56). Here's more... ($) http://t.co/B9JMDxCJEe
— Cal Rivals (@CalRivals) February 5, 2014
Name: Drew Sullivan Class:2015 Position: OG School: De La Salle Height:6'3 Weight:310... RUN/PASS OFFENSE: He is a run blocking lineman that moves quickly and seals defenders from the play. He blocks with a good lean. Drew is large enough to anchor in pass protection and he has the athletic ability to slide out in pass protection.
The Bears aren't just content to offer recruits at home. They're looking across the country too, particularly at the state of Georgia.
Hoschton (Ga.) Mill Creek offensive tackle Kaleb Kim got an offer the day after singing day. The offers have been pouring in for Kim: Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Ohio State, Vanderbilt, Boston College, Duke, Florida, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Syracuse, Tennessee.
#Cal has also offered Mill Creek HS (Hoschton, GA) offensive tackle Kaleb Kim

Zach Giella, Augusta (Ga.) Christian offensive tackle
It's a good mornig! Got my second offer from the University of California Berkley!!! #BEARS #PAC12 #honored #blessed
— Zach Giella (@gellocup177) February 7, 2014
Cal will have to compete with some SEC schools here. Giella holds offers from Kentucky (which seems to be his preferred destination) with Mississippi State and South Carolina also extending their hand.
Bailey Sharp, Marietta (Ga.) Sprayberry offensive tackle
OL Bailey Sharp was offered this morning by #Cal.
— Ryan Gorcey (@RGBearTerritory) February 10, 2014
Sharp has a pretty solid list of offers already from schools like Clemson, Duke, Illinois, Michigan State, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, South Carolina and Virginia.
Nick Polino, Buford (Ga.) offensive guard. Polino also has an offer from Georgia Tech.
Just got offered by Cal #Pac12 #GoldenBears

The news has been a bit quieter along other fronts. Los Angeles (Ca.) Bishop Mora Salesian wide receiver Jeremy Kelly got his second offer from Cal right after Signing Day. Kelly is the second major offer from a D-1 school; San Diego State came first. Kelly hasn't received too many rankings as of yet; Rivals has him 83rd among all California recruits. I'd imagine the interest will pick up in due time.
Congrats to LA Salesian 2015 Sensation Jeremy Kelly Just been offered by Cal... Salesian Football is... http://t.co/rhunGIu0N9
