NFL Week 14 + College Football Playoff & bowl selection open thread

While controversy is sure to erupt over the college football playoff selections today, the league that chooses its playoff teams with sensible rules of selection, which everyone knows at the start of the season, is in the home stretch of the regular season.

Welcome to Week 14 of the NFL season.  It's playoff time for your fantasy leagues, so if you're fortunate enough to be battling it out in your league's playoffs, good Rodgers to you.  As for the real NFL games, the playoff picture is taking shape as the season has reached its last quarter.

One of the teams fighting for its playoff life is the San Francisco 49ers.  Recent speculation has centered around the future of coach Jim Harbaugh. Will he leave the 49ers to coach at the University of Michigan? Will the 49ers trade him to another NFL team, possibly the Jets or Raiders?  This morning, there was this tweet:

Because we are Cal diehards, we watch our Cal football alumni as closely as the games themselves.
