Another day, another great Cal football commit! DePriest Turner, a QB/ATH from Alabama (WHAT? Yes, there is hope for Alabamians hoping to move to CA!) has commited to play his college ball for the Golden Bears! According to Ryan Gorcey of Scout.com he'll be coming in as a CB, which means that the beleagured secondary is getting more help.
I have officially committed to the University of California. Duke is a Great School but at the end of the day California is my Home!

Turner was recently a Duke commit, so you know that the academic chops are there, and he boasts a 3.9 GPA, which is what we all like to see. He excelled as a QB is High School but looks to get some immediate playing time in the secondary at Cal.
I'm not coming out to California to sit on anybody's bench," Turner told BearTerritory on Monday. "They told me to come out here and train like I'm going to take somebody's job, like I'm going to start."
