The California Golden Bears know for sure that two of their junior college prospects will suit up on defense this spring. Derron Brown (commitment story) dand DeVante Wilson (commitment story) have signed their National Letters of Intent and are ready to get going on the field.
Brown presents an immediate need for Cal. Brown is a safety, and Cal will be stocking low on them going into next season. Cal needs every one of these they can get, and Brown looks like he should get into the equation this season. For more details on Brown, read Nam's latest scouting report.

Joining Brown is Wilson, another player in a spot of need. Cal needs pass rushers and Wilson looks like he could have the best upside of the bunch going into next year. Wilson looks like he could become a beast on the edge who just makes things very difficult for anyone who gets in his way.

They join Ross Bowers (scouting report), who signed his financial aid agreement back in September. Bowers is a near certainty to redshirt, but he is going to be part of what figures to be a crowded quarterback competition the moment Jared Goff decides that it's time to turn pro.
Welcome to Cal everyone! GO BEARS!
