The California Golden Bears are continuing to stock up on their wide receiver. Billy McCrary, Leander (Tx.) Rouse athlete, announced his commitment to Cal today.

A 5'11, 193 pound athlete who runs a kicking 4.3-4.4 time, McCrary figures to fill right into that inside wide receiver position and give Cal much needed speed at that spot. Cal's current wide receivers are excellent technicians, but there isn't much gamebreaking speed, and McCrary could really start open things up for the Bears the moment he gets playing time.
New #Cal commit @BillyMcCrary3 sent me this last month, kid is a legit speedster, has run as low as a 4.38 40... pic.twitter.com/4ujoy7S50e

Aside from Cal, McCrary had major offers from schools like Northwestern, UTSA, Bowling Green, SMU, and Rice. He also stacked up on the Ivy League wishlist as well, receiving offers from Yale and Harvard too, so the academic bonafides are all there too (McCrary reportedly has a 3.9 GPA, via Cal Rivals).
Here are his video highlights.

Sonny Dykes has done a good job finding athletes who not only can fit in at Cal but match his system too. Here's hoping that a breakthrough will soon be on its way!
Welcome to Cal, BIlly! GO BEARS
