Oregon @ California
Shots fired from Sonny Dykes. Read on with John Cazano from OregonLive.com
Dykes joined me for an interview this week, talking about his father, his football team and why he doesn't understand why recruits would choose a college over a uniform choice.
"That's where you're going to go to college, that's where you're going to get your education," Dykes said. "There's a lot of factors that I think are a lot more important factors than what you're going to wear 12 Saturdays a year. But, you know, kids like those things.
One-on-One: Hardy Nickerson
CalBears.com: When you forced the fumble last week against UCLA your dad was in his seat being interviewed by the sideline reporter. What did he have to say to you after the game?
Hardy Nickerson: He told me that it was crazy that he was being interviewed at the same time I made a play while they were talking about me. It's a cool experience, but I'm still down about the loss.
CB: How did that play develop?
HN: They lined up in a trips set and I shuffled to my A-gap. The running back slipped to the outside, and right then, I shuffled and wrapped him up. My arm hit the ball and it popped out.
