When I think of GoDaddy, I think of racy commercials, some of which were too racy for network television. To wit (NFSW):
But GoDaddy.com is more than NSFW commercials. It is the sponsor of a bowl game! The GoDaddy Bowl is being played tonight. Here are your particulars:
GoDaddy Bowl (Mobile, AL)
Arkansas State (7-5) vs. Ball State (10-2)
6:00 pm PT. TV: ESPN
Arkansas State, out of the Sun Belt Conference, comes into this bowl game having lost its coach, Bryan Harsin, who took the head coaching job at Boise State after Chris Petersen left Boise for the Washington gig. This is the third straight year that Arkansas State has played in the GoDaddy Bowl -- and the third straight year that the coach who led the Red Wolves during the regular season will not be the team's coach in the bowl game. (Hugh Freeze after the 2011 regular season; Gus Malzahn last year.) Arkansas State defensive coordinator John Thompson will coach the team in the bowl game for the second consecutive year.
Ball State, from the Mid-American Conference, is riding a nice 10-win season and will try to earn the first bowl victory in school history. The Cardinals are 0-7-1 in their previous eight bowl appearances.
If you're watching this one, talk about it here. This is your official GoDaddy Bowl open thread. I know it will be active.
