Sure, all the starters from last year's offensive line will be returning, but another body in the mix can certainly never hurt, right? The Bears will be getting that -- and potentially an immediate impact player, even -- in new JUCO commit Dominic Granado out of Golden West Community College. Granado chose Cal over offers from several smaller schools, although Washington State and Oregon State both had reported interest in the 6'5, 285 pound lineman.
I'm so happy I finally know where I'm gonna be going to school next year, I'm gonna be going and playing football at Cal Berkeley! #Cal

While these things are always fluid, it appears likely that Granado will end up playing tackle for Zach Yenser, especially with Freddie Tagaloa's departure. This would also allow Matt Cochran to move back inside to a more natural guard position, where he will likely battle with Jordan Rigsbee, Chris Adcock, and Erik Bunte for one of three starting positions on the interior of the line.
Welcome, Dominic, and Go Bears!
