We haven't really had any names being thrown out there publicly as to who Sonny Dykes is choosing to replace Andy Buh as the new defensive coordinator. Now we have two!
One of them, as expected, is Greg Robinson, according to Coaching Search.
Per source, former Texas defensive coordinator Greg Robinson has interviewed for the defensive coordinator job at Cal.
Robinson has been rumored to be a candidate since the opening began, and we even ran a profile on it! Check it out.
Another candidate mentioned is DeWayne Walker. You'll remember him from his days as UCLA defensive coordinator before he took over as New Mexico State's coach. He's now in the NFL coaching Jacksonville's secondary. This one doesn't seem to have panned out.
#Cal talked with Jaguars DBs coach DeWayne Walker about defensive coordinator position but Walker won't be next Bears DC, I'm told

More importantly, an announcement seems to be on the way pretty soon.
@bestcoastin Pretty close.

There are a lot of candidates we've mentioned! I'd guess sometime in the next 24-48 hours, because those recruits are arriving tomorrow and they'll probably want to know who will be leading them on defense.
Place your bets! Who do you think Sonny is hiring?
UPDATE: So either he declined or wasn't a candidate at all, take your pick at your story of non-interest!
Despite reports, a source tells @coachingsearch Jaguars asst. DeWayne Walker has not interviewed with Cal.
