Before we get to the tweets and comments, here are selected Game Notes [courtesy of Cal Media Relations]:

Jared Goff and James Grisom connected on a 61-yard touchdown in the first quarter. It was Grisom's first career touchdown on his second career reception.

Goff ended the game completing 31 of 53 passes for 371 yards with three touchdown passes and an interception. It was his first three-touchdown performance. The last Cal quarterback to throw for 300 yards in three straight games was Aaron Rodgers in the final three games of the 2003 season (348 vs. Washington, 359 at Stanford and 394 vs. Virginia Tech in the Insight Bowl).

Chris Harper notched his second 100-yard receiving performance this season, third of his career, with six catches for 115 yards and a touchdown.

Bryce Treggs hauled in his second career touchdown catch in the third quarter. His first TD came against Nevada in last year's season opener. Treggs finished with seven catches for 51 yards and a touchdown.

Khairi Fortt led the Bears with a career-high 13 tackles and two tackles for loss. Hardy Nickerson tied his career high with 11 tackles for the second straight week. Damariay Drew also set a new personal best in tackles with 10. Jalen Jefferson's 10 tackles tied his personal best. Joel Willis notched a personal-best seven tackles.

Daniel Lasco paced Cal in rushing with 10 carries for 64 yards and his second career touchdown run, first of 2013.

The Bears ran a fake punt at the end of the first half when Goff threw an 11-yard pass to Stefan McClure. Goff and Cal punter Cole Leininger both wear No. 16.
