Racing out at Eagle Creek Part near Indianapolis, Indiana, the Cal Women's Crew managed to get two of the three (Varsity 8 and JV 8) boats into the final on Saturday. The Varsity 4 Cal boat will compete in the B Final.

Out of all the schools, only two (USC and Ohio State) have all three boats in the finals.

Unlike the Men's Crew in IRA where the "National Championship" is purely determined by the Varsity 8 result, the women's championship is awarded to the team with the most accumulated points through all three events. While the Bears' chance at the title is a bit smaller given the smaller maximum possible points available today with only two boats in A Finals, stranger things can happen.
