What an offensive outburst yesterday. Bears outhit the Sun Devils 13-12 in a back-and-forth affair. Cal erased an early 6-0 ASU lead and even went ahead 9-6 in the 8th. Two late homers (a 3-run one in the 8th and a solo one in the 9th) gave ASU the victory. With the series all tied up at 1 apiece, who will win the rubber game today? Bears have not had a dependable starter for Sunday all year long, so it would be interesting to see who will start for the Bears.

Unfortunately with the loss, the Bears are now mathematically eliminated from having a winning season. Nevertheless, there is still plenty of pride at stake, particularly against Furd next weekend at home.
