NCAA Women's Basketball Championship Open Thread

The Louisville men won their national championship last night. Will the Louisville women make it a sweep of all the NCAA basketball Tostitos? Only Connecticut stands in the way.

National Championship Game

(5) Louisville vs. (1) Connecticut

The University of Louisville tries for the historic basketball sweep tonight in the NCAA women's national championship game. With the U of L winning the men's national championship last night, the Cardinals have a chance to become only the second Division I school to win the NCAA men's and women's basketball championships in the same season. Appropriately, women's basketball superpower Connecticut stands in Louisville's way: appropriate because Connecticut is the only other school to accomplish the double national championship feat (2004).

How did these teams get here? I am not going to talk about that. I thought I could. But it still hurts too much. So I will just leave it at that.

This is your open thread if you can bring yourself to watch this game and fight your emotional thoughts of "what might have been."
